David Kusinitz is a native New Yorker, born in a midtown Manhattan medical center where his mother was a nurse. After spending his early years living on Long Island and in Rhode Island, he moved to a bustling town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, overlooking Chesapeake Bay. After high school, David served four years in the US Marines, where he took college classes in the evening to prepare himself for his post-Marine education. As a former Marine he graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and spent time working in a sports medicine clinic. In 2009 he helped to open LifeTime Fitness, where he now helps his clients achieve and maintain strength, endurance, and a healthy lifestyle. David is now fully rooted in the Mid-South, where he lives with his wife Christy and two children, a daughter aged 2 and a son aged 4. In addition to his wife and children, David’s passions are supporting the future of sports training and working with youth to encourage them to develop healthy lifestyles.
