Houston Mustangs 2nd Annual "Raise The Roof" Campaign

The 2008 RTR Silent Auction and Dance was held January 25th, 2008. We had a wonderful evening with good food, friends and dancing. This years campaign raised more than $27,000, allowing us to continue to improve our new facility. As you can see from the picture, this will be a banner year for our Mustangs Baseball team with the ability to practice inside all winter and spring. No more cancelled practices due to rain, snow, cold, wind.

 We'll continue to enjoy this facility due to the generosity of all the supporters who provided funding or donations this and last year. The 2008 RTR Committee would like to thank the following Corporate Sponsors for 2008:

Good Evening!

First, I want to thank you ALL for the amazing contributions to the 2008 "Raise the Roof" event. It was a lot of fun and the success is owed to the involvement of the entire Bullpen organization. Secondly, a special THANK YOU to the following committee heads and their committees who worked diligently to pull it all together:

          Barb Boucher - Communications, Media Relations, and Invitation
          Pattie Kempka - Food & Beverage
          Lyn Puckett - Decorating
         Karen Bellows - Silent & Live Auction
        (And... of course, Mr. Aitken, the live auctioneer of live auctioneers!!)

Finally, the number you have been waiting on (drum roll please).....net profit from this year's event is $27,034. This includes all income, expenses, reimbursements, transfer of $1300 to the operating budget for fence signs from corporate tables, and should be a very accurate number to use as a benchmark for years to come. This profit is from the 'event only' and does not include any 2008 "Raise the Roof" pledge money.

For a second year event, with the building complete and weather not on our side, I am extremely pleased with the results and you should all be very proud of your individual contribution to making this possible. Again, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THIS EVENT, THE PROGRAM, & THE BOYS WHO WILL BECOME THE BENIFICIARIES OF THIS FANTASTIC ENDEAVOR!!!
